About Me

Hi! My name is Caroline, the driving force behind my beloved little home goods shop, Birka Studios.

I started Birka formally in 2024, but have been an avid collector of all things vintage for as long as I can remember. Any chance I get, I'm sourcing new little treasures to share with you all.

Birka is an Old Norse term meaning "marketplace." With proud Scandinavian roots, I have always had a special appreciation for Scandi design concepts, with a focus on natural materials, earth tones paired with little pops of color & midcentury pieces that exude warmth + simple charm.

I know these pieces are loved by so many, and so I thank you for being here! Rest assured, time and care has gone into curating every vintage collection that I offer.

Outside of running the shop, I enjoy traveling to new places (Florence, Italy will always have my heart), hiking with my husband, sipping coffee at local cafes, and spending time with friends and family.
